Ultraviolet detection (UV)

Ultraviolet security is achieved by including luminescence materials in the paint while printing the banknote. Though they do not glow in natural light, slight emission of different colors emerges under the influence of UV- light.

Infrared detection (IR)

Infrared detection is one of the most reliable ways to protect currency and securities, considering that the process of adding special metamerics in the paint is very expensive and complicated. The detection is based on locating infrared metameric paint when an image segment disappears (while in infrared zone).
Infrared sensors are calibrated while checking the first counted bill and compare its readings with the rest of notes in the stack.

Magnetic detection (MG)

Ferromagnetic pigment presence testing.
For example: on Ukraine’s hryvnia - security thread and serial number of black colour (on rear side of the banknote) demonstrate magnetic behavior, on Russian rouble - serial number in dark-green paint, on American dollar – the president’s picture and some other image details.

Size detection (SD)

Size detection is not considered to verify currency authenticity. Essentially it just selects the banknotes which differ in size from the pattern. The width of the first (previous) bill is the pattern, the rest of the bills are compared to it.

Optical thickness detection

One of the most widely spread ways to control count accuracy. The counting mechanism selects a banknote from hopper and checks it through the light (if it is a single bill). Basic thickness can be verified automatically (by a specific function) or according to the measurements of the first bill.

Time delay function for locks security

Safes with time delay feature are commonly used in institutions operating with high volumes of cash (high risk of armed robbery). DoCash time delay safe serves to accept deposits and keep cash secured. Equipped with a programmable delay lock (from 1 second to 30 minutes wait time) it can be opened neither by a victim nor by a criminal in case of a robbery. This function turns out to be a great option to secure values and worker’s safety.

Infrared metameric paint

Without special equipment a human eye can not detect the difference of the metameric paint from the other paint used on the bill, but it appears to have a different reflection in infrared sub spectrum. If depicted in metameric paint, this part of the image is only visible in the infrared sub spectrum of light.

Special “M” element

Special “M” element - machine recognizable element is revealed when placed in infrared light zone. When the banknote enters this zone it is always registered by a sound signal of a specific unit or by a visualization of flashing image.
